Burgers are awesome here. The other plates are great as well....chicken fried steak, King ranch casserole, etc. The enchiladas would be good except for the fact that they are going spicy for my taste. Our waitress was alone the day we went and she was amazing! She was taking orders, passing out menus as she greeted new customers, bringing out orders, cleaning tables, and always with a smile.

it's been 30 yrs since I was last there before today. It's good stuff if your in the downtown area. Meat quality is good. Service is good. Would probably be on my top 20 burger list. It's still cash only so be prepared for that if you go. Kind of pricey tho, 2 burgers and 2 sodas $25.

First time here and everything was awesome. Friendly staff, fast and excellent service. I had the Grim burger and every bite was delicious. Like others have said, they are cash only. Added bonus..if you play Pokemon go, there is a poke stop here as well :).

great unique home style burgers. the grim is my favorite. I’ve been coming here for years and it hasn’t really changed. the good thing is the the burgers are still delicious and a great value and the service is still friendly. the bad thing about not changing is that they still are cash only with the same cashier, there are interior decorations that look like that haven’t been cleaned in years and they certainly haven’t remodeled. Parking is still difficult and it’s still has that borderline structurally unsound feel. Ultimately there are other great burger places in Houston and I just don’t go as often.

This was my first visit to Lankford's, and it's the exact type of place you'd expect to find a really good burger. I got the old fashioned burger and added cheese, and a friend and I split (by chance because of a mix up) an order of french fries and sweet potato fries. There are a lot of burger options, but none sounded as good as a standard cheese burger. You are limited mostly to street parking, and you'll need to bring CASH. They do not take credit cards. I'll be back.
